Do you enjoy getting out and connecting with people in your community?
Wondering about some ways that you might get some exposure for your business; sell some products and/or sponsor others into your business?
Networking groups such as BNI (Business Network International) is a great resource for business exposure, and the key is to work it right to be effective. Also consider Le Tip International. Google it for information.
Second, make sure you have an intention and know EXACTLY what you expect to get out of your experience there. Are you looking for retail customers; ongoing client orders; and/or business partners?
I recommend a combination of both and so you need a defined strategy for approaching the group. Be prepared with product each week and product specials. And, of course, your commercial.
Then, be prepared to network one on one with the members of the group. Arrange a time with one or two people each week to get together outside of the meeting for coffee or lunch where you can learn more about the other person's business and how you can be a good source of referrals; and also what you are looking for in terms of referrals.
This is where you will introduce the concept of team partners and explain residual income.
Remember, these are business professionals, and don't let this intimidate you. Just be a professional, too!
Go through our Recruiting 101 Guide (available in our distributor training forum) and information on how to do a coffee shop, 10 minute overview. Whatever you do, avoid saying too much and ranting and raving about how great our products are.
Consider gifting a jar candle for them to experience and remember it's a tax write off. Keep track of all inventory you use for promotion.
Be sure and ask for their business when they have customers, family, friends who have a birthday or another gifting reason. Ask them to keep you in mind for fundraisers and home based business "wanna-bes", too!
Have fun, show up, get involved and work your business!
EXPECT Success!
