Talk to Just 2 a Day About Your Business. That is a Direct Sales rule of thumb. And, when you really think about it, extremely do-able!

This will connect you with over 2,920 people over the next 4 years. If 3 out of every 10 say yes to being a customer, that is 876 customers. What if 30% of those think about doing the business; and 79 actually decide to work the business, that would be about 23 who become business builders and 4 or 5 will become stars!

Wow! All of that from talking to 2 people a day about your amazing candles, mineral makeup and business. That creates a cash-cow, residual income machine.

Let's face it - Direct Sales is a numbers game. The bigger the numbers you work, the bigger your success will be. What if you increased that to 3 to 4 a day? What then?

You might need a new car (paid for with your company car bonus) to drive your check to the bank!

Let's talk and get things started for you!

Your vision is your reality. Hope is not a plan; your thoughts are creative! Combine these and then work on your goals and expect success, always!

Create a vision of your own future and then "chunk it down" into bite sized pieces - yearly, monthly, weekly and then daily action steps!

Then, the real key - get started. Take that first key step!

The holiday season can mean a real slow down for home-based business owners, but only if you let it! With a holiday plan for business and some organization, you can keep your business thriving, and propel yourself into the New Year!

Here's how -

1. Do some follow up now with past contacts. Schedule a phone or face-to-face appointment to review your program or products. How might your products fill a need for your contacts or referrals during the holiday season? Brainstorm some ideas before the meeting.

2. Do you have a product or service that might be perfect for holiday gifts? Schedule some lunch time or afternoon showings for people to preview. Make gift suggestions and offer to gift wrap. Send out email greeting cards to remind people to buy from you! Think about gift baskets and corporate gift giving. This can develop some solid referrals and contacts for the future.

3. Offer a discount coupon to anyone who refers a friend who also purchases between now and the first of the year. Start a VIP purchasing program; or create a "punch card" for buy XX and get one free.

4. Begin setting appointments now for January. Let people know that you realize they are busy and suggest a date in January. Let them know you have time open now and would also love to offer them a date after the holidays.

5. Put yourself in power momentum by scheduling blocks of time daily for contacts and follow up. What is realistic each day? 5 of each? 10 of each? Set the pace and stick to it! Set your calendar up with blocks of business time as far out and consistently as possible.

6. Go on a mission to pass out as many flyers and business cards as humanly possible over the next month. As you do, have a 30 second "commercial" ready that may appeal to what they need right now. Extra cash for the holidays? Convenient and secure online shopping with no crowds, hassles or parking? Delivery? Get creative!

7. Going to a lot of holiday parties and events? Use this time to meet as many people as you can. Ask lots of questions and collect business cards and email addresses. Ask each person if they mind if you keep in touch with them. If they begin asking you questions, be prepared with short, intriguing answers. If they show an interest, schedule a time to contact them in the next few days. Try to avoid saying to much about your business at the party. Schedule, schedule, schedule and then be sure to follow up! And, if you have samples, bring them.

8. Include a business card, flyer, post card or some bit of "shameless promotion" in your holiday cards and correspondence. Don't send cards? Now you have a good reason to start! Check on that tax deduction! Don't be obnoxious; just share your enthusiasm.

9. Begin reviewing your past year's goals and accomplishments. Where can you improve? In what ways can you push yourself on to bigger and better next year? Have your next year's business plan concrete before January 1!

10. Keep your focus, remember CANI (constant and never ending improvement) and enjoy the season, knowing that you are doing and being the best you can be! Set big expectations and make them happen.

EXPECT Success!

Have you taken the time to define when you are actually going to put time into growing your business? This is a very important first step.

Think about the other areas of your life. If you have a job, you know when you work. You know when to make dinner, get kids off to school, go to bed, etc.

You must factor this same thing into your calendar to build your business.

When you are just getting your business started, block out at least 2 evenings a week for parties and business overviews. Commit to this for the first year and you will be amazed at the growth you'll have.

How many other hours do you have each day to commit to your business?

You'll need time to make contacts; follow up; prepare for events; place orders; make customer contact for follow up, etc.

A solid business is built in 10-15 hours a week. Commit to this time frame and block this time in your calendar!

And, since it's fall season and peak season for business building and retail, step up your efforts a little and cruise right through the holidays with a bundle of profit in your pocket!

Prospecting is the lifeblood of our business, and our future income is created by bringing others onto our team and coaching them to success!

Our most exciting product is our opportunity!

How many people do you know who would like to trade in their JOB for a career in parties and fun?

It's quite possible to earn $75-$250 an hour retailing our products while sharing the opportunity with others.

Imagine a 3 hour party that earns you a profit of $300. How many of these would you do a week to replace your job income?

Imagine sharing this business with others as you put immediate cash in your pocket, and begin building that residual income.

What would a few thousand dollars a month mean to you in retail cash? What would a few thousand dollars a month mean to you in residual income?

This is the power in what we have and it's what makes us so unique in the profession of Direct Sales. We earn higher percentages than most companies, and we pay deeper residuals!

Who can you give an opportunity gift bag to today?

What's in an opportunity bag? A jar candle; the Get More Out of Life Brochure; a candle and beauty catalog and your business card, at the minimum.

And, you can include more but typically, less is more. Let our candle do the talking for you!

Let's create a FIRE Storm this year!

Ready-Set-Goals!

Yes, you read it right - you'll GO when you have GOALS set, so let's get you set for a great month!

What is your income goal for the month? ______________

How many parties will you hold each week? __________

Number of Guests per party?___________

Retail Sales Goal per party?___________

Number of Gift Bag Parties handed out at each party? ________

Number of Opportunity Packs handed out at each party?________

Number of Parties booked from the party?________

Number of Follow up Calls After Party?_________

Your follow up calls are critical to long term success. Why? Well, you never know what someone is thinking at the party but is uncomfortable or intimidated to ask. Your next big superstar might be mulling over the possibilities and just needs a little nudge.

The call is as simple as saying - "Thank you for attending the party last night. I wanted to follow up and see if you have any questions for me about your order; other products or the opportunity that we offer through XYZ company."

You can continue by saying "I would love to reward you with free products and discounts. Is there a time on your calendar that we can schedule a party for you and your friends?"

"Do you know anyone who might want to earn $100 or so an hour partying for a living like I do?"

Create a fun script that fits for you and always be sharing the benefits of what you do.

1. Use Your Products - be your own best customer. How can you succeed with a product line you don't use and embrace? Enough said.

2. Accept Your Opportunity As it Is and Take Action - I can't tell you how many times a new distributor has said to me - "I can't be successful with this business until we get XYZ products, or changes." That always amazed me since myself and others were having great success with things just the way they were. My goal has always been to have a huge, growing organization so that when positive changes happen, more people experience great benefits!

3. Copy is the Name of the Game - If you follow and copy a method of growing and building your business that has worked for others, that is all you need to do. No need to get creative in the beginning, unless you really want to slow things down.

4. Goal Setting is a MUST -  How can you know where you are going, or if you have succeeded unless you have decided where you are going? It has been proven time and time again that those who succeed have clear, specific, written goals. You won't be the exception so get those goals on paper right now!

5. Attend Events - This is another one that stumps me - the new distributor who claims they are not going to attend an event until they make some money. Two thoughts on this - go make some money and get to the event; and what of the event is the thing you need so you can make some money? The top income earners attend events. Again, enough said.

6. Retail With the Goal to Recruit -  Some will and some won't, but you always want to make sure every retail customer knows about the exciting opportunity behind your company. You are offering a gift!

7. Have a Positive Mindset - Expect the best, always. Find the positive in any situation. People like to be around and do business with positive, upbeat people!

8. Be in Business Every Day -  Busy people get things done and consistent actions are what product big results over time. The beauty in Direct Sales is that you can create amazing results from small, but specific daily actions. Contact 2 people a day about your business and watch what happens at the end of the year!

9. Be the Leader You Look Up To -  Leadership and setting a good example in our profession is critical. Do all of those activities you expect your team to do and share your results for inspiration.

10. Never Quit -  Ask many top income earners what the secret is to their success is and they will tell you - "I just didn't quit." We get better at anything with practice and repetition. Be willing to go through the struggles and challenges of growing your skills in Direct Sales. It is so worth it!

The best thing you can do to successfully launch your business and get into profit right away is to host your own business launch event. This should be held within your first 7 to 14 days. And, you will use this as a springboard to schedule other events.

This is your Grand Opening for business, just like you would do if you opened an ice cream store, right?

Start by creating your list. Get out a sheet of paper and write down the names of everyone you know in your local area. Think - family, friends, neighbors, co-workers, people you know through church and your children's activities, etc. Do not edit your list or leave someone off because you think they won't be interested.

Now, set the date. And, you may want to pick two alternate dates to hold other launch parties for those who can not make the original date.

Get your invitations and mail them out.

Here is the most important step -  Make a follow up phone call to everyone you mailed an invitation to, a few days after it should have arrived.

Most of the time, you will only be leaving a message. Just let them know they should have received the invitation; you are really excited to share the products and what you are doing with them; and can you count on them to be there?

Have plenty of product and tools on hand so that you can -

  • Present and sell product - immediate cash and customers
  • Demo what a great business it is - potential business partners
  • Create a desire for others to host a retail event for you so they can earn free and discounted products

Follow up with every person who attended and those who did not.

We have complete training on how to do all of this with scripts that are proven to work, and a party system that will create success for you!
